Sorry to spring it upon you like this folks. February is a short month so you get a couple of days extra.

You are going to shoot A SPREAD.

That means that you will a) utililise the WHOLE FRAME and come with an EVEN DISTRIBUTION of people in it.

A spread is, from now on, characterised by having no significant FIGURE and no significant GROUND. It all merges up in a positive and distinct way.

All individuals in the spread MUST BE SEPARATED well from each other. There should be no people overlap and no disturbance of objects either.

Beware of supportive VECTORS: Try to incorporate them. Get rid of loose ends.

Don’t try try to jump the fence where there is no fence. Set the barrier high.

Far out, this is the inspiration for this type of shooting:http://www.phillips.com/detail/HENRI-CARTIER-BRESSON/NY040112/46

I said far out, but I always have this amazing shot from HCB in mind. It is always in the rucksack.

The shot you see here is from Berlin 2013. It is an private INSPIRATIONAL, but you have to live with it as an illustration here.
