What better way to start 2014 than with this shot from Hotel Bogota, Berlin, the last day. December 1, 2013.
I came there by pure chance. What a lucky coincidence. Looks very fifties, right, but who cares? So do I, but I am still younger than David Bowie, if that counts.
Not far from Helmut’s old room where he learned to handle a camera. Now I can say I was there before the closing down of that very historic hotel. Helmut lived in room 418. Now you know.
I got away with 4 Hotel Bogota bibles at a few Euros each, one book on Buddhism, and the last tango poster. Not a bad catch. I need to put all to use. All of it fully stamped and payed for.
Shortly after that it turned 2014 and I had the urge to set up what I call 2014 preliminaries. A wish list full or energy. Here it is:
Task One: Completing The Workbook for New Street Agenda. Deadline March 1, 2014.
Task Two: Production of 20 to 30 fully frames photographs to go on display in France the last week of April.
Task Three: Final preparation for New Street Agenda in Berlin in June 2014. Deadline when due.
Task Four: One article for well knows manufacturer of photographic goods. Some overdue already. Plus preparation of 18 photographs to go with it.
Task Five: One article for Fb friend. Long overdue.
Task Six: Research and writing of a piece on photography and virtuality for Metodo in Italy. I really like the theme and am already on it. Deadline, was it June 1, 2014? Think it was.
All of this from nothing. Well, close to nothing.
Seems that I am in the right place.
