Nothing better than having an unexpected break. It gives me a chance to make cross overs from one line of thought to another. From one line of action to another.
Today I had a meeting with a gallery owner who accepted to exhibit some of my pictures next summer; got a bike mended; and just opened a bottle of French red wine. TGF.
Bridges are built all over.
Maybe the most interesting cross over is the mingling of The Secret Mission and On Every Street: The Academy, that will happen right here right now. Just so people don’t get bored I am going to introduce a few more terms that will be of use in at The Academy pretty soon.
Kevin A. Lynch is the name of an American architect. In 1960 he wrote a piece called The City Image and Its Elements. I ask you what better context could one have for this ongoing renewal of a vision for street photography. Because that is what this is.
Here are the new terms: Paths; Edges; Districts; Nodes; and Landmarks. That is overseeable, but you need to dig out the definitions yourself.
So be my reading guest. Open the links above. The content fits this mission elegantly because it is first and foremost in the cities that street photography goes on and a dash of urban planning comes in as tailor made.
Good luck with it.
